Royality Fees
If material I own the copyright to has been used without my permission, I charge £0.35 per view on social media platforms
Can I license the use of one of your photos. How much will it cost?
I charge a minimum rate of £395 for a single photograph. This will be licensed for 5 years for an agreed media and territory. Multiple photographs can be purchased at a discount on a sliding scale. This is the copyright infringement price I would expect to be reimbursed if a company or person used my copyright protected assets without permission or continues to use my copyright protected assets when a license has expired or been revoked.
Can I license the use of one of your videos. How much will it cost?
I charge a minimum of £100 per second for video usage. This is the copyright infringement price I would expect to be reimbursed if a company or person used my copyright protected assets without permission or continues to use my copyright protected assets when a license has expired or been revoked.
Are there any other expenses?
The only other expenses, estimated in advance, are: travel charged at £0.49 per mile, parking, accommodation, sustenance, taxis (including congestion charge if working in central London), rental of additional lighting or equipment (if required), all charged at cost. Occasionally, for larger jobs, the cost of a hard drive (if required) and a photographic assistant may be added. Allow £150–250 for an assistant. Night shoots are charged at time and a half.
What does these fees include?
My fee covers my photographic expertise, as well as the use of my photographic equipment (valued at over £30,000).
Do you charge a fee for digital post-production?
Yes, for every day I spend shooting, I spend an additional day working on the images in digital post-production. This is a critical stage of the process, requiring time and skill, and I charge accordingly. If I only shoot for half a day, the post-production should only take half a day.
How much do you charge for digital post-production?
I charge the same day rate as my photographic fee. However, this depends on the job. If I shoot a small number of images, I may charge less. Please contact me with a detailed job brief so I can provide an accurate quote.
Do you charge for a recce?
No, I’m happy to recce a job within a 25-mile radius of my office free of charge.
How long is a day’s shoot?
A day’s shoot is typically from 9am to 5pm, with half an hour allowed for lunch.
How long is a half-day shoot?
